And they ask him "How could you take care of a son after what you've done" But he proved them wrong took care of him all summer long This sponge has grown older but he ain't a sponge no more no, this sponge is a plunger He cleans out the lies of his son as he gets older He shows him the right ways to live his life even bolder He shows no rebellion cause he knows his father is a felon But even he's got mistake repellant he sits him down and tells 'em [Hook] "Don't do what I did Or do what they did" (2x) Don't smoke any smoke Don't drink any drink Cause that's all you'll ever be And that's how you'll always think "Don't do what I did Or do what they did" (2x) Don't put that weed in a bong You'll have to smoke it all day long Listen to your mentors Especially when they tell you it's wrong
