About a week ago, I was in the neighborhood of some of my old friends, I was spending the night. I remember when I had moved there when I was maybe 10 or 11. They became my best friends. Ride or die. That night we ending up playing hide and seek, it was more fun since it was dark out. It was me, Caleb, Isaiah, Tanner, this older kid Haime, three other little kids, and this girl I used to have a crush on. Me, her, and Caleb stuck together most of the time. At one point we decided to go hide on a football field that was nearby. We had the theory that I was so dark that we could just blend into the grass and not be seen. So there we are, Caleb taking the alternative of laying in a tree nearby, and her laying next to me in silence, not wanting to risk being caught. I look over at her and... She just has this adorable ecstatic smile on her face. I could tell how much fun she was having, then I feel bad for being the only one hesitant to play. Then I realize, this is the closest I've ever been to her, shoulder to shoulder. It makes me happy and embarrassed at the same time. I can feel my face getting hot but you'd never know with my skin... Also the fact it was nighttime... We played for two more hours. Then I went to Caleb's... and then I wrote this. It's better for me to be friends with that girl, with our friendship history, it'd be weird for me to have feeling for her
