A Green Light

You've unwrapped yourself around me, you no longer surround me I've let darkness linger cause you no longer bound me I'm lonely and every thought has divided itself Memories on shelf, I'm crying...I can't seem to help myself.. And you're not trying to stop, a green light that never ends See, a lover has to love you like your lover and a friend Like a drastic sick amend, I'm changing everything to "then" I'm a story with a lesson that has now become a trend What have I spent? Besides my youth strangled in a coat? Waiting for the warm cause the cold has me remote! And the longer I'm on hold, the "worser" path we take All these doubts in me yelling out "yeah we're a mistake!" And the more I thought about it, the more I got lost Yet the more I pushed you far, deeper was the cost Cause I can't exist without you, I can't leave you behind And you say "I love you too," that's when I press rewind Til I've drowned myself in lust and sadness all combined You waited to rescue me, but I said "just never mind..." And as confusing as this sounds jumbled in a rhyme I'm crumbling as I'm writing cause the truth is so confined....
