God and Us

I've come from a mighty long way But that's ok I know my God's got me So in His kingdom I'll stay Sometimes trials come my way So from His Word I cannot stray away When trials come His class is in session He teaches me about patience and progression I'm on His team makin sure I play my position Cuz the spreadin' of His Gospel is my main mission As I go through life His grace is payin my tuition And I see sometimes the danger In following my own intuition I'm hungry man His Word is full of spiritual nutrition I look at some of these guys Wonderin at their bad condition I feel for them, pray for them Hopin they receive the Truth That I could present to them Devil's mad cuz I'm on the grind for the Lord He got other dudes to get in trouble Just because they're bored And they don't even give a flip I see it when of that gin and juice they take a sip But me? I win in Christ, bearing fruit And of the drugs I won't take a hit So many caught up in the trap game Tryna be like those in the rap game For them it's a constant fight Like UFC so it's the "make 'em tap" game But if they truly knew their frame They'd know they can't keep it up forever Just to try to gain a name For the fame Some just don't get it and they continue to live in shame But I don't live for myself I live for the One Who is awesome and incredible I live for the One who made Himself edible John Six:Fifty-four through fifty-six I read the words and my heart breaks for those Who won't notice this Man, sadly many cats are blowin it Some too high off the trees They smokin it' Then chokin' it' If they ain't' careful They'll end up in a worst state Refusin help as they pushin everyone who cares away But I don't need weed to get high All I need is He who died on the tree Was buried, rose again then He went high Before you asked why I praise Him like that Now you see why And I know some hard days are up ahead It's not always easy But I'd rather run to God Than to go back to the world Please believe me Some tryna be on the fast track to celebrity... Like in the magazines But if they ain't careful They'll catch trouble... Like in the magazines God's tryna get their attention If He was on Twitter What would be the number of His mentions?
