[Verse 1] Uh, from all your statuses and emails Letting everybody in on every single detail As if I really needed to know What you ate for lunch or whatever you did a few seconds ago Everything you do gets posted in an instant Cause it’s really that important Putting down every thought that comes to your mind But once it’s online, there ain’t nothing you can hide Yeah you can’t lie, it’s all showcased on there You can try and remove it but it’s prolly being shared Whether you like it or not it’s still out there Have care, be cautious, and make sure that you’re aware That when you write on the wall or when you talk on the chat Once you press that post button you can’t take it back Watch what you say cause it might leak through Anything you put on the internet you can’t undo All them jokes that you wrote, take note in what you post Cause you never know what you might do when you feel stoked All that flying out your beak ends up in the news feed Even if it’s something you know you didn’t mean Instagram a photo that you know you wouldn’t But that’s what happens when you get caught up in the moment You try and delete it but everyone already saw it Now everyone knows whether or not you’re being honest Typing away feelings to send over the net Next thing you know you become filled with regrets Tryna make something you said disappear completely But the fact is you can’t make it disappear completely It’s obvious that you didn’t mean for us to see Sill teens, social media ain’t just for you means Don’t want anybody finding out about your problems? Then don’t make it a problem by facebooking your problems Watch what you put on the news feed Cause you might also end up on the news feed Going on the blog making countless threads Watch for the danger when you’re on the web If you don’t mean it then don’t tweet it Cause you might make a problem more bigger than it is It’s a wonder why dramas usually start online Controversies all begin with a computer fight You say you hate school yet you apply for college And now you just gave yourself a bad image Joking around saying you wanna kill the president Then the feds come even if it’s something you never meant And it ain’t just you it’s for other’s too Gossiping and spreading rumors of things that ain’t true Send a couple death threats to somebody you hate Now you just sealed a suicidal and criminal fate People giving all their personal information Broken lives from comments destroying relations I’m tired of arguments that get the youth expelled I’m sick of hearing all these kids killing themselves I heard enough about teenagers getting arrested For what they did online, they clearly don’t get the message I ain’t tryna say all this straight outta spite I’m just telling you to be careful of what you type [Outro] Yeah Posted with haste Pictures copy and paste The things that they say Can never be erased Regretful posts brings shame Children have been slain Words must be tamed This ain’t a game you know?
