Am I A Rapper or A Poet?

What is the difference between a rapper and a poet? Well now a days the media likes to take a moment To commercialize with numerous mounts of lies cuz money is the main focus So they inject the artform with unnecessary components just to get it noticed and when its finally synthesized they decide to take will take the time to show it and thats why you don't think there's a difference between a rapper and a poet A Poet is like a fugitive on stage facing a public execution Both feet chained to the dirt arms excessively moving to compensate for the loss of motion in his legs A crowd gathers staring directly at a stranger that they never seen before Cameras lenses aimed at the same directions recordin as this man articulates his last words As for a rapper the motive die a legend Touching sensitive subjects like nine eleven But nows ignorance is welcomed my profession Where the middle finger is viewed prize possession Rappers are now optical illusion on stage Nothing but false perception of reality As our mind tries to distinguish what's being shown The halluation takes full effect and disrupts the way our brains function We become hypnotized to a point we accept what's being materialized right in front of us There will never be a day I become famous because the industry can't make money off something that look like this They want to make me tall light and handsome even though im small dark and ugly They want to make my image stick out like a sore thumb my words stick out like a middle finger So i say F the industry they see me one day being amillion bucks But everyday i wake up feeling like a shiny nickel And thats the difference between a rapper and a poet To a rapper a picture is worth a thousand words But to a poet words are worth a thousand pictures My poetry result to be a never ending paradox The way i serve ppl i can shut down any resturant Mind like the renaissance king like kaurta scott Life is a movie and i see this world in letter box When they talk about rappers they say that i ain't one They rap about gold chains thats where they can hang from Rearrange and leave blood stains on my apron When the cops show up i say assalamualaikum When i rap with a message you can see that time flies So when i rhyme i can out live a cat with 9 lives Real recognize real you can see that i try Rappers are hard to connect to like this schools wifi As a poet I wonder why are women degraded in rap These rappers can sense a drop of low self esteem from a mile away Excuse me lady twerking on top of the lamborghini I fully understand that you feel beautiful but Somethings should be left to the imagination I have a baby sister at home that doesn't know what beauty is Since being provocative sells you are presented all different media outlets Even though you don't respect yourself i respect you Theres women here that don't want to be represented by you So i going to say this as polite as possible Get the hell out my television and reevaluate your life Each song is about getting females its literally The same sexual reference with a different delivery Like being under a girls dress got to be kidding me Thats only true when they go the statue of liberty In rap having multiple females is idolized Thats where we do not see eye to eye cuz i dont try To take advantage of women when their pride has died Then break the girl’s hearts to see if theres a prize inside As a poet my life is one big heartbreak I wear my heart on my sleeves like its a fashion trend even though its not stitched on right My lack of confidence become cinder blocks attach to my legs as i drag myself threw the runway Everyone starts to point out every individual flaw i contain and share their observation with the people sitting next to them and i smile as the parasite inside me eats any piece of dignity i have left I have been called a terrorist so much that I dont know my name I have been called mohammed so much that i dont know my name I have been called aladdin so much that i dont know my name They laugh cause im different i laugh cause they all the same After everything i been through after everything you seen me do I am a hard pill to swallow theres no one you can feed me to Dont judge a book by it cover you can see that im living proof Theres no skelton in my closet they are chillin in my living room Say my name before you sleep and i will appear in your dreams The rhythm i speaks is combine figure of speech But rap game is not fun as it appear as it seems Cause trashy music is passed down like a pyramid scheme Once i pull a pen out i become a reptile I am a rapper thats in the 1 percentile Every word i said now are flying projectiles While rappers dont get much love like a stepchild If you are a rapper or a poet you should live life in fear of this Your inferior while i deliberately delivery there Ill throw a rapper off a pryrimd and tear a poets ligaments Cause im not a rapper im not a poet im a lyricist
